Email Subject: Forever endures!

Dear Friends,

Cloudy, wet, cold, windy, and that's not just what's going on outside, ha.  We live in a world with a lot of pressure, stress, hurt and heartache for sure.  It does not make a difference how much money we have, how many toys we have to play with in life or how well it seems to be going at the time the truth of Psalm 34:19 rings so real, "Many are the afflictions of the righteous."  The Psalmist says, "Many" and we say "Oh good, I can handle a few, but Many?"

Friends, I am so grateful for the rest of the text in Psalm 34:19, read along with me, "But the Lord delivers them out of them all."  What a comfort, strength, assurance, hope and solace as we face life's many difficult circumstances.  I am so very grateful to worship an "All Knowing, Ever Present, All Powerful, King of Glory," that will never leave or forsake us no matter how dark the day becomes, no matter how empty life seems to be Our Lord and Savior is with us as Christ followers, "Regardless!"

Is it any wonder that believers down through the ages could endure, "Well," such heartache, pain, suffering, scorn and even wrongful death as they traversed through this life.  They understood this great truth!  What a difference it will make in our life if each of us as Christ followers can fix our gaze on Heaven and not on our self or life's circumstances we are going through or our loved ones are facing.  Daily let's allow His truth to permeate our heart to refresh, strengthen, encourage and bring stability to our life because we don't lose as Christ followers (1 Cor. 15:57,58).

Friends, whatever we might be facing today or in the days ahead may this Psalm ring loud in our heart, "Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His faithful love endures forever (Ps. 118:29)!"  I like the sounds of that don't you.  Living in light of "Forever" is where I want to be on a daily basis for in the midst of that is "Peace, Joy, Stability, Encouragement, Power and a whole lot more!"

Have a great day my friends,

Pastor Doug
