Dear Friends,
Permit me, if you will, to reflect on some things today please. Today is the 8th anniversary of the first public worship service of Cornerstone Berean Church, I am grateful for the small number of people some 8 years ago that took a step of faith to start this ministry, believing that the "Teaching of His Word and loving People" needed to be top priority. What a difference that makes in people's lives. This small band of people, has expanded into, now a very large number of Christ followers meeting weekly in three worship services to "glorify Christ by growing in their personal maturity." I am honored to serve Christ alongside the many who are making choices daily to know Him and represent Him in all facets of life both at home and around the World! Oh What a Difference!
-What a difference it makes when men/women, boys and girls take seriously their personal responsibility to grow in God's grace and knowledge. Falling deeper in love with Him daily through the growing knowledge of His Word in their life!
-What a difference it makes when Christ followers take as their heart passion that Christ's glory is more important than their selfish desires!
-What a difference it makes when Christians are focused not on what others can do for them, but on serving the living Lord & those He puts us around with a whole heart!
-What a difference it makes when instead of being critical, complaining and negative about this or that having to do with those around me-church, home, work etc. I choose to make a Kingdom difference by representing Christ in each of the above situations according to what brings Him the greatest honor!
-What a difference it makes when I choose to grow in maturity-"knowing the right thing to do and then doing it!" All those around us will sit up and take notice, because it is so foreign in this day and age of foolish living.
-What a difference it makes when I choose to be obedient and faithful to God's Word and not live on feelings and emotions!
-What a difference it makes when I see the World, beginning with those right next door to me and extending to the other Continents, as Christ sees it and asking Him to use me in whatever way He is most pleased with to reach people with the hope, truth and love of Christ!
-What a difference it makes when I sacrifice my time, talents and treasures for the furtherance of His work and not the self seeking pleasures of life.
-What a difference it makes when I choose to walk wisely (according to James 3:17) in a foolishly directed world!
Oh friends, what a difference we make when our greatest passion is to honor Christ with our every once of energy and breath. He is so worthy of this. Join me today in making the right kind of choices that will make a difference in our World for His glory. True difference makers are rare indeed, but "Oh the difference we can make" when we choose to difference makers for His glory!
