Pastor & Mrs. Shada moved to Kearney to plant Cornerstone Berean Church in 2001 from Lincoln, NE. Pastor Shada had served on staff at Lincoln Berean Church as the Executive Pastor since 1981. Pastor Shada also serves the Berean Fellowship of Churches as it's President and has done so since 1993. Pastor and Mrs. Shada have been married since 1969 and have two grown children Matt & Jodie. Matt graduated from Moody Graduate School and along with his wife and son Eli have started a church for the Berean Fellowship in Omaha, NE called Steadfast Bible Fellowship. Jodie’s husband Gregg graduated from Beeson Divinity School with a Masters in Biblical Studies and pastors the Crete Berean Church in Crete, NE. They have one son Fisher.

Dave began serving at Cornerstone Berean Church in Feb. 2005 after graduating from the Moody Graduate School in Chicago with a Master of Divinity degree. Before that, Dave graduated with a BS in Biology and worked 10 years as a chemist. Dave serves CBC in the areas of Life Groups, Adult education, Men’s ministry and Discipleship/Mentoring groups. Dave’s wife Laurie is a Clinical Scientist and they have been married for 8 years and have a daughter, Charissa.

Nate and Lauren have lived in Kearney for over 8 years and have served with CBC since the fall of 2002. Graduates of the University of Nebraska at Kearney and newly married in 2002, Nate and Lauren sensed the Lord leading them to youth ministry. The Randall’s obeyed the call of the Lord and have seen Nate’s shepherding duties expand beyond the high school ministry to the middle school age as well. Since coming on staff full-time in 2004, Nate and Lauren were blessed with the birth of their first child in 2005, Arianna Jane.

Cristine and Paul began their ministry at Cheyenne Berean as youth leaders when they were dating. They progressed from youth leaders, to youth interns, to a pastoral internship and now as the worship Pastor. They both received their bachelor degrees from the University of Wyoming, Paul a degree in music and Cristine a degree in psychology. They have 3 children, Malaki 3, Benji 5 and Mika 7. Cristine and Paul began their ministry at Cornerstone in May of 2007.

Paul is passionate about equipping people to serve God better by leading people to the throne of God. Paul is committed to knowing God more and more each day (2 Pet. 1:6), discipling God's people with a servant's heart (Matt. 23:11, Col. 1:28, 2 Tim. 2:2), being a man of prayer (1 Pet. 4:7), and never calling others to do what he is not already doing himself.

Dana has served as the Executive Assistant at Cornerstone Berean Church since 2002. Dana grew up in Independence, Missouri, where she accepted Christ at an early age. She met her husband Barry on a mission trip to Jamaica in 1983. They married a year later and have two lovely daughters, Elizabeth and Emileigh. The family moved to Kearney from Kansas City in 1991.

Sara serves as the church’s Office Assistant and the Children’s Ministry Director. Sara was born in Holdrege, NE and at the age of 12, she and her family moved to Lincoln, NE. Sara trusted Christ as her Savior at the age of 4 and in 7th grade rededicated her life to the Lord for His work and will and was baptized. Sara and her husband, Jerry, met in High School youth group, were sweethearts through college, and married June 24, 1995. Sara graduated from Taylor University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and a Minor in Music Education. Jerry and Sara moved to Kearney, NE in November 2003 and soon after made Cornerstone Berean their church home. Jerry and Sara have two daughters and enjoy spending time together as a family.

Kaye is the Finance Assistant and has been attending Cornerstone since moving to Kearney in 2006. Kaye grew up on a farm near Naponee, Nebraska. She attended business college in Omaha. While attending Temple Baptist Church in Omaha in 1970, she accepted Christ as Savior and was baptized. Kaye attended Faith Baptist Bible College in Ankeny, Iowa for three years. Kaye and her husband, Steve, were married in 1976 and lived in Ft. Wayne, Indiana for eleven years, and Phoenix, Arizona for nineteen years, where Kaye worked as a legal secretary. Kaye and Steve moved to Kearney to be closer to their two adult children and grandchildren, and Kaye’s family.
